Obituary of Robert James Hiscock

Dr. Robert James “Jim” Hiscock Passed away at St. Marys Memorial Hospital at the age of 83.Born in Sudbury, Ontario, Jim was a family physician for over 45 years, primarily practicing in St. Marys, Ontario.Jim delivered over 1,500 babies during his career and was very proud to see his daughter, Dr. Susan Hiscock, also carry forward a medical practice in St.Marys. He was an avid reader of medical journals as well as fiction, and a keen competitor at the card game of bridge. Many a morning he could be found walking the Grand Trunk Trail. Above all else, Jim enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Norma and his four children; Dr. Susan Hiscock of St Marys, John Hiscock and his spouse, Michelle MacGillivray of Toronto, Robert Hiscock and his spouse Annie Li of Toronto, and Jane Hiscock and her spouse Marijean Lauzier of Boston, MA. He was the eldest son of four boys of Thelma and Reg Hiscock and is survived by beloved brothers Jack and Jerry Hiscock and their families of Ottawa, Ontario.A Memorial Service will be conducted at the ST. MARYS UNITED CHURCH, 85 Church St. S., St. Marys, on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Rev.
