We couldn’t count the number of ballgames we watched with Ruth in the stands - back in the day when our daughters played ball with Michelle and Lisa. She was so proud of that great family and was Fan Number One for sure! Michael and Mary Smith

My condolences to all of Ruth's family. I met Ruth at Delong Scoville as I began my first job out of high school. She was a great mentor as she eased me into being a part of the working world.
She didn't hold back whenever she mentioned her nieces and nephews. She was very proud of all of you.

Aunt Ruth was the "captain" of our family reunions in recent years. I remember her giving the grandchildren and great grandchildren coin sets at the reunions she would buy for them.
I remember the old house on Queen St. and the piano in the front room that she would play for us as kids. She was certainly a "giver" and gave her time and love to her family. I will always remember her laugh. But, she is now reunited with her siblings and I am happy for that. Rest in Peace Aunt Ruth

Aunt Ruth will be sorely missed, especially at the annual reunions. I have fond childhood memories of times spent with her, such as when I would run into the front room of Grandma's house during visits to play her piano...no match for her abilities. One of my favourites in her repertoire was 'My grandfather's clock.'
She was certainly a special person, so kind, thoughtful, positive and full of life.
My thoughts are particularly with those who spent the most time with her seeing to her care, and who will especially feel her loss.
