Don and Anne posted a condolence
Our sincere and heartfelt condolences to Sue and to Don's family, as well as to all who knew and loved Don. We only got to know Don a little, late in his life, but we were warmed by both his and Sue's hospitable, welcoming nature. For that we are thankful. Thankful, too, that Don and Sue helped the Alzheimer Society spread an understanding of dementia, generously providing the time to address a gathering at the Walk For Alzheimer's a few years ago. It is no surprise to us that that generosity was extended by Don in his agreement to donate his brain and spinal cord for research into dementia and Alzheimer's, with the goal of finding a cure for this terrible disease. Rest in peace, Don. Don and Anne Stratford

Sue, Shawn, Sheila and your family. You have my deepest condolences. Mr.Don, not only helped take care of my oldest son in Sue Daycare but has been an amazing man in my life for 42 years. He always had a smile on his face. Was always joking around with us kids. I remember going to Sheila’s birthday parties at their camp site. He was grilling hot dogs and keeping us entertained!
