Obituary of Norma Joy Thompson

On Monday, April 12th, 2021, in her daughter’s home in St Marys, Norma Joy Thompson (nee Kitchen, Hall) passed away surrounded by her family at the age of 69.Beloved wife of 11 years and best friend to Del Thompson (Step-children Darren and Shelli). Survived by three loving children, Dale Kitchen, Teresa McKay and husband Jim McKay, Glenda Carpenter and husband Paul Carpenter. Proud and loving grandmother to Serena McKay, Aiden McKay, Jake Carpenter, Westin Carpenter and Leo Carpenter. Loving sister to Janice Herod and sister-in-law to Greg Herod. Aunt to Oliver and April Herod (Violet and Gregory), Adam Herod and Johanna Cruz, Matthew Herod and Jolyn Hyrich (Theo and Berklee). Fur Mom to Boots and Bebop (her boys). Predeceased by her Father Norman Hall (December 2006) and her Mother Marion Hall (September 2020).Norma will be remembered as pure joy and sunshine. She touched the lives of everyone she met, no matter how brief that meeting was. She is free from pain and is in a much better place. She will be greatly missed, but fondly thought of every day.Norma wanted a celebration of life, when once again safe to gather. A true party where friends and family can celebrate freely.Memorial donations can be made to the St. Marys Healthcare Foundation, St. Marys Veterinary Clinic or the Canadian Cancer Society.
