Dennis and Ann Hall posted a condolence

Dear Janice, Greg and families, Dennis and I were so saddened to hear of Norma's passing. We knew she had not been well but still the phone call from Lynn, Brent's wife, was not one we wanted! As we get older and the families "shrink" it certainly doesn't get easier. The photos in the obituary are wonderful Dennis and I have studied them and he remembers some of the earlier ones well. I do hope her children, grandchildren, furry children and the rest of you are getting strength and comfort hearing from "long lost relatives" and friends. I have searched through email looking for an address to send a more personal note but to no avail. The smileboxes you send every year at Christmas, do not have your email address. I had the pleasure of meeting Norma ( I knew her as Joy ) about 5 years ago. I was Immediately impacted by her strength, surrounding her illness, and just life in general. I don't believe I ever heard her complain, once, and there must have been very difficult times for her through these last years. I know she LOVED her children and grand-children, and this is certainly evidenced by the abundance of lovely smiling and happy family photos displayed on this site. Del was always at her side and she always spoke so highly of the support of all her family. For me, Joy was one of those special people you meet once in awhile and think " this person will be a very good friend ". Over the past few months, when it hasn't been wise to get together, we took to texting each other, just a line or two, just a little reminder that there's another person thinking of you today. We were those friends. I always was looking forward to the time when we could just be getting together, having a tea on her lovely deck, or on my balcony. She was so strong emotionally, and physically, to endure with Grace, all that she has. I will miss her dearly, and the budding friendship that was never quite allowed to take flight.
