Obituary of Alvin David Haves

It is with sadness but in faith that we announce the passing of Alvin Haves, who passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at home.He will be deeply missed by his wife of 53 years, Ruth Ann (Stover) Haves, his sons Lyle Haves (Tara) and Christopher Haves (Jennifer), six grandsons and one granddaughter-in-love, his brother Lewis Haves (Norma) and Sister-in-Law Kathleen Dailey (Harold). Predeceased by parents Lawrence and Laura Haves.He will be remembered as a man with such a large heart that as much as he loved his horses Peggy, Teddy, and Toby, as well as his pastimes of hunting, fishing, and baseball, he had an ever present abundance of love for his family. He shared his passion for horses with the ‘Cowboys,’ as well as in the community, riding in many Thorndale Fair parades and weddings. The family would like to thank Dr. Gatfield, the entire Palliative Care Team for their excellent care, and our supportive neighbours.Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be conducted at the NORTH NISSOURI CEMETERY, 24058 Fairview Rd. Thorndale, on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 7:00 pm. with Rev. Jim Breen officiating. All who wish to say goodbye are welcome, and asked to bring a lawn chair if desired and that individual households are asked to maintain physically distancing.In lieu of flowers please donate to the Brain Tumour Foundation.
