Mi querido Will.

It was with shock and sadness that I learned of the passing of William Greason. He and I first met in the school year of 1957 to 1958. Bill was a 13 year old student in Grade 8 and I was a beginning 19 year old teacher! This was in a one room school house in Wellburn, just south of St. Marys Ontario.
Bill made me so proud of his academic achievements, earning a PHD at an early age in a field of high level of mathematics which was no mean feat. Retiring from UWO as Professor Emeritus shows the status by which he was held by his colleagues.
Three years ago in July, Bill kindly organized a reunion of that first Grade 8 class of 8 students in my honour. We had such a wonderful day at the St. Marys Golf and Country Club - a true highlight of my 43 years plus as a teacher. Bill kept in touch over these 67 years and still called me by my maiden name. How I will miss his beautiful Christmas cards and letters over these many years.

Professor William D. Greason, PhD, P.Eng and Life Fellow of IEEE was my academic and research work colleague in the Faculty of Engineering at Western University.
Bill's optimism and interpersonal skills made him an outstanding teacher. His analytical skills, impeccable professionalism, and affinity to work resulted in his considerable expertise in the area of reliability of modern telephone systems operating in hostile electrostatic environments. A generation of students who graduated and post-graduated under Bill's competent supervision are now employed in North America, in many countries on the European continent, and Australia.
I'll always remember Bill as an exceptional academic, an accomplished engineer, and a dear friend of me and my family.
May he rest in peace.

Ashleigh, Tamera and families: Our parents, Jack and Kay Hunter were part of the large network of friends who valued their relationship with both your parents, and you, their “local” granddaughters. As neighbours, Bill enjoyed talking to dad about farming, and Mom and Sandy admired each other's creative work. Mom and Dad were both devastated by Sandy's cancer diagnosis, as they loved her dearly, as they did your father. Our thoughts are with you.
Jack and Kay's daughters, Jane, Judy and Joan and their spouses, Dennis, Peter and Brian

I remember visiting Tamera around the holidays and her Dad had tied the Christmas tree to the wall to prevent the cats from knocking it over!
I am so sorry for your loss! Your Dad was so kind and always made me feel welcome at your house.

Dear Ashleigh and Tamara
Gord and I remember your Dad as a friend from our first years in Dorchester
Both of your parents were encouraging and supportive to us when we adopted Charleanne
They gave us a book on being an adopted child which was a special gift.
Both your parents were true role models to us as we observed how they parented you girls
We were all Blessed to have them both in our lives
I will miss receiving your Dads Christmas card
Thinking of you girls as you move on after one of lifes most difficult losses
Sending our Love
