I was 14 when I first came to Anne's barn (1999) and stayed until she sold it. I learned so much about horses, riding, barn management, etc from her. Anne asked me to care for the horses while she was on vacation and she even let me ride her boy Sonar when I was briefly without a horse myself. I did not understand the significance of it at the time, but looking back now I realize how much she must have grown to trust and respect my abilities. How fortunate I am to have spent many years under her watch and to learn from all she had to offer. Anne took time to help me with the purchase and care of my first (and only) mare and for that, she will always be part of my life and some of my best memories. I have thought of her often over the years and find myself missing those long trail rides.
