We would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to Don’s entire family. Although I only personally know a few of Dons grandchildren, I feel like I know you all, as he shared many stories on our lengthy and numerous school bus trips together. Don loved taking the cross country runners and skiers to their events and was the team’s number one cheerleader watching and encouraging each member of the team. The current tradition started with Don, as he would take the XC runners to McDonalds post race - and there the XC slogan was coined … “Do It (running) for Don’s!” He will be remembered.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Don. I knew him through his work and mine since 1978. While we sat on different sides of the table he management and I a union representative he was well respected by everyone he was involved with.
I had lunch with him a couple of years ago just to reminisce about the old days. May he rest in peace. He was a good man.

To Don's Family...
It was a pleasure to have known Don for many years.. Such a kind and gentle man. Our family knew him through the Leslie/Skipper/Morrison clans, plus seeing him when he worked at Domtar. Also remembering Marj as she was a teacher of mine at Central School and friend of my Mothers. Always nice to see them and it was good to get to know Don again at Kingsway/Fairhill. May memories bring you comfort.

I will miss seeing Don and having a chat when I visit Kingsway/Fairhill. Our paths crossed many times over the years. Marjorie was a favourite teacher of mine in Woodham school SS#13. Seemed exciting that our teacher was getting married. Always considerate and welcoming, they were a great couple. Warm and caring thoughts to all of you.

Very Sad to hear of the passing of Don Leslie. He treated all passengers with respect and advocated for Murphy Bus
Lines to his passengers and the general public on a daily basis. Don enjoyed the St. Mary’s Lincolns, trips to Toronto and was a friend to all fellow St.Marys drivers and staff . He will be greatly missed.

Almost four years ago, my dad, Uncle Don’s little brother Jack Leslie, was in hospice. He knew his time was short. One of his only wishes was to spend some time with his brother. (Forever grateful Donnie, that you helped make that happen). The two of them chatted for awhile and as their time came to a close, Uncle Don told Jack, ‘Well I gotta go but I’ll try to get back this way next week to see ya’. My dad paused a sec, the replied ‘ Don I don’t know if I’ll be here.’ Uncle Don smiled and didn’t miss a beat - ‘Don’t worry. Wherever you are I’ll find ya!’
I can’t describe the contentment & safety my father received in that moment. And I am certain that they are together again.
Bless you Uncle Don. And all the Leslie’s. You are a gentleman and we are fortunate.
