To all the Millson family, We remember both your parents, and their willing participation in St. Marys United Church, when we were part of that church in the 1990s. We know your Mom and Dad will be missed by all the family.

Paul and I are deeply sorry for your loss. Ruth was such a kind and loving person who always made us feel welcome at any of the annual Millson Construction Christmas gatherings. May the fond memories you have of times gone by give you the strength to get through the difficult days that lie ahead.

Ruth welcomed me into the family and was always interested and supportive of the things we were doing. She was a rock in our midst and made sure everyone was doing their part. I remember many delicious roast beef Sunday dinners with great cherry pie. I surely was privileged to have her as my mother-in-law. She was definitely a special person who, I'm sure is setting up her new home in Heaven.

I have so many great memories of both your parents - such a great source of information about the history of St. Marys and of Blanshard Township. They graciously answered so many of my questions. But perhaps my favourite memory involves Bryce Skinner's wonderful steam engine that rolled up the lane of the St. Marys Museum in the early days of the Canada Day celebrations in Cadzow Park. Glen and Bryce would build the head of steam while Ruth and Florence provided interpretation services, making the steam demonstration a happy learning experience for all who gathered around. A small example of the many things Ruth and Glen did for their community.

Our deepest sympathy to everyone in the family. Your Mom was a wonderful woman. She was an absolute rock for the church as both a friendly face in the pew and also as the secretary for the Official Board for decades. She made it easy for me and the others who chaired the Board. She exuded wisdom, patience and love. I enjoyed her eye exam visits. It was always fun to catch up with news of the family and she beamed every time she talked of you. Growing up in the neighbourhood, the Millson home was just across and down the street. There were so many kids together in those days and your Mom made sure that we were all welcome to play in your backyard. It was also my pleasure to know her Mom a bit through eye exams and your Mom undoubtedly got many of her good traits from her and has passed them on to you.

Dear cousins Pat, Barb,Dave and Sue,
My first encounters with your mother were in the summers when Dave and Sue were born. I spent July and August of both those years with your family as a Mother's helper. Believe me, I was very impressed with her patience, energy, intelligence, sense of humour, her sense of what was the right thing to do at all times. She carried the tasks of being a mother and a business partner who never shirked her duty, nor took much time out for herself. She had high standards and kept them relentlessly, but seemed to be
easy-going at the same time. Over the years, I would visit Uncle Glen and Aunt Ruth whenever the opportunity came. I always found her to be gracious, interesting and interested in others.
I am sorry for your loss, but you will never lose the influence she had on your lives. Many times you will wish you could talk to her and ask a question that now can never be answered. You were fortunate in having her for as long as you did.
My love to you all.
