Lynn and I were friends for 65 years and she was always there for me…and me for her….during life’s rough roads and happiness.
We met in Training at Toronto General Hospital in 1959 and on graduation walked down Bay Street to Convocation Hall.
Lynn continued her education and worked in London, Ontario till retirement in her specialty…cardiac surgery…tough one!
Her husband Bill and her created a park of trees that are stunning as I was lucky to see…all different varieties stretching over reclaimed farmland and up a big hill. In their conversations it was always “going out to the hill”…they loved it. Lynn wanted the large piece of Ontario covered with Nature’s bounty to be there for others after her….so like her caring personality.
During the last few years Lynn grappled with colon cancer. Her statement to me was “Carry on”…

Lyn and I had a brief conversation two days prior to her hospitalization and she gave me a tight hug and never imagined that this will be her last hug to me, so I was shocked to hear of her passing. As Lyn's private PSW, I had the privilege of caring her during her post surgery last year. She treated me well and was incredibly lovely to me. I would like to express my gratitude to her and Bill for giving me the opportunity to take care both of them.

I first met Lynn in the CCU Unit at University hospital in 1992. For me she made a surprising and disconcerting situation immediately so much better. I felt she was an immediate ally in my struggles with a serious cardiac problem. She also had an affinity to true caretakers in the hospital and out in the broader world. Lynn was a consummate caretaker and had a sense of others with the same attributes.
Lynn and her partner Bill were also caretakers of the world and they felt people should be better conserving and helping the world get greener as she and Bill demonstrated by turning their hillside land into an oasis for nature, planting many trees in an area previously tilled.
Lynn and Bill have left the world a better and happier place.

Sincere condolences. I had the pleasure of working with Lynn at University Hospital in the CCU. She was always kind and supportive. Her smile was warm and comforting. Lucky were the patients that had Lynn as their nurse. Lynn was a lovely lady, with her “Farrah Fawcett” hair as she described.
Many fond memories. Marg
