Obituary of Jean Elizabeth Evans

Entering into the arms of our Lord and Saviour, Jean Elizabeth (Stevenson) Evans, passed away peacefully at Wildwood Care Centre on December 23, 2023 at the age of 91.

She is predeceased by her loving husband Jim Evans and their daughter Elizabeth Anne.  Mom will always be cherished by her children, Jane and George Foley, Susan and Ian McKechnie, and Faye and Gord Eybergen. Grandma will be dearly missed by Brent and Sharon Foley, Bryan and Christy Foley, Karen McKechnie, Julie and Scott Godkin, Paula and Liam Whitelaw, Amanda and Jason Frayne, and Cory Eybergen. Great Grandma truly treasured Peyton, Olivia, Cameron, Blair, Ryan, Nathan, Lydia, Will, Gavin, and Ella. Jean is survived by her sister Marguerite Garrett. She is predeceased by her parents, Lisle and Margaret Stevenson and her twin brother Mack. Mom made a devoted family of friends during her past couple of years living in Wildwood Care Centre, while receiving exemplary care there.

A heartfelt thank you to all of the dedicated and nurturing staff!

A private, family graveside service will be held in St. Marys Cemetery at a later date. Mom was always very generous and thoughtful of the need of others, so if you wish to make a memorial donation, please consider Heart and Stroke or your favourite charity.
