Obituary of Gordon LeRoy Smith

Gordon L. Smith passed away at Woodstock Hospital on November 20, 2023 at the age of 86.

Husband of Darlene (King), married 66 years. Father of Frederick (Kellie Thistle), Stephen (Lynn Worte), Elise Vervoordeldonk, Lee (Susan), and Karl (Donna). Missed by 20 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Ellis and Sadie Smith.   

Gordon worked his life farming and trucking.

Visitation at the Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home, 47 Wellington St. S. St. Marys, on Friday, Nov. 24, from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, Nov 25, at 11 am. Reception to follow at Purple Hill Country Hall, 20903 Purple Hill Rd, Thorndale.

Interment in Grove Cemetery at a later date.
