Obituary of Joyce Louise Cookson

Joyce Louise Cookson, longtime resident of St. Marys, retired to Ipperwash, passed away peacefully at Jessica’s House in Exeter on October 21, 2023 at the age of 83.

Predeceased by her husband Grant Cookson (1999).  Mother of Jason (Tammy), and Kelly. Grandmother of Nathan (Amanda), Cody (Billy Joe), Alyssa (Dylan), Nathan (Ashlyn), Josh (Carly), Leah. Great-grandmother of Holly, Stella, Grace, Mia. Sister of Shirley Fredrickson (Norm). Also remembered by a small army of nieces and nephews. Sadley missed by her long-time friend and partner Wayne Walker of Ipperwash.

Joyce worked as a nurse at St. Marys Memorial Hospital for 32 years.

Joyce’s family wish to sincerely thank the staff at Jessica’s House Hospice for their exceptional care.
