It is with sadness that I write and say that what I remember about Mrs Wright, is her kind and friendly, personality and knowledge. My husband, Kerry, remembers her as a very fun and interesting lady. Always a story to tell, and she was always wright. Our thoughts are with my friend, Nancy, and her family.

Libby was a fun member of our St. Pauls Women's Institute. She always had a story to tell and was very willing to help in any way she could. We extend our sincere sympathy to Libby's family.

Remembering Libby fondly and how I enjoyed knowing her. I met Libby while in the Stonetown Seniors Choir out of the Friendship Centre. I loved her sense of humour. Libby invited my husband Roy and I many times to her home on Elgin Street where we experienced her hospitality. Libby showed us her garden and when I told her I was starting a garden in my back yard she was so generous in offering many clippings and plants. The next spring we invited her for lunch and a tour of our new garden. Each spring thereafter as the garden bloomed we fondly thought of Libby and her thoughtful gift. My husband Roy and Libby had a special connection because he knew Charlie Wright from Toronto. Libby will be affectionately remembered by us knowing the she was
"always Wright"

Truly a force of nature. I remember one memorable trip to Muskoka - we stopped for something to eat at Nith River Chop House in Wellesley. Libby ordered the poutine and swore us to secrecy; I had a young cousin visiting from France and she was completely enchanted. A family story we share whenever we indulge in poutine or drive by the restaurant. A feminist ahead of her time for all that she followed and cherished tradition closely. A life well lived.

Yes, Mrs. Wright.
Always an engaging smile when you encountered Mrs. Wright: Forceful, fun, and thoughtful.
A real engagement when you visited Kingsway to be greeted by her in the lobby.
One the many positive characters that make your day there.
And, we cannot forget the wicked sense of humour …

I am so sorry to hear that Libby has passed away. I missed being on the shopping bus with her. Seeing her at the centre with the quilters. I will always remember her fondly.

Our condolences to Carole, Nancy, Susan and family. I will always remember Libby and Gordon paddling past our Island over to Campbells Landing, they would stop for a short visit then continue on their paddle. I especially remember paddling with my daughters, Suzanne & Maureen, around Beechgrove Island . One time Gordon came out and asked us to come ashore. I sat and had tea with Libby while Gordon took the girls for a walk on the island and explained the different types of trees as well as the difference between white and red pine needles. The girls really enjoyed his lessons in nature, and have never forgotten them. Rest in peace Libby, please give Gordon a big hug from us.

It was such a pleasure to sit with Libby last year and hear her life story which I published in the St. Marys Independent in honour of her 100th birthday. She was a no-nonsense kind of lady and we shared many laughs together. It was such a pleasure to spend time with her and I cherish her friendship. When asked her secret to such a long life she jested, ‘how the hell would I know?!’ Oh how she made me laugh.
My sincere condolences to the Wright & Swetman families.

Libby was my grandmother, affectionately called 'Granny'. She was a mainstay during my trips to Coboconk or the cottage on Muskoka, and continued to be the matriarch that help a special place in our large and growing family.
We were so happy to be able to spend her 100th birthday together, celebrating her long and wonderful life.
With love,
Camille Hunt
