Obituary of Douglas John Knight

A wonderful man has been taken from us.  

Doug, husband of Helen Flanagan Pate for 35 years passed away unexpectedly at home at the age of 71. Doug was a kind gentle man who loved his family and especially his friends.  

He loved interacting with everyone.  He loved a good pint of Guinness and loved visiting our family in Ireland.

Survived by his children Chris Knight (Tara), Mark Knight (Alice), Sam Pate, Adam Knight and Angela Burnie (Adam). Much loved Grandpa and GrumpPa to Jaxson Knight, Martha and Audrey Knight, Aidan, McKenna and Declan Pate and Rosa and Darla Burnie. Much loved brother of sisters Sandy Roe (Don) and Carol Peach (Al).  Survived by his brother-in-law Paul Flanagan(Teresa) and children Erin and Nolan.  

His fur babies Mango, Jackson, Lucky and Kitten. 

Cremation has taken place.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers as expression of sympathy, donations can be made to Feline Friends Network.

When God felt the need to call you home.

Your heart was kind and true
