So sorry to read of Harold’ s passing. Harold was an old Motherwell school friend as well as his sister Carol. So interesting that he married another Motherwell girl whom I remember well. I remember Harold singing a solo in the music festival and it was outstanding. He won first prize which pleased us all and especially Mr. Harley, the music teacher. My sympathies to Linda and the family. Elaine (McIntosh) Smith

We are so sorry to hear of Harold’s passing. Our condolences to his family. Growing up I have fond memories of Harold dancing. He had the moves, along with the hair flipping. Diane and Harold showed us what a true family Christmas was like.
So sorry to hear about the passing of Jeff. Cherish your memories and hold them tight to help when you need them.
Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time. May the love of those around you help you through the days ahead.

I’m sorry to hear of Harold’s passing. He was a very kind man who made a huge impact on our family. He was never at a loss for a laugh or kind word. He loved to fish what would be a 5 hour dive used to take 10 or more to come visit us with aunt Marie. My condolences to all.

Harold was married to my nana Marie Acres. In the decade they were together I have so many wonderful memories of Harold. Always kissing the ladies. Harold loved to joke, tell stories and have a comb in his pocket to enhance his awesome hair style. You will be missed by plenty but will live on in our memories & hearts forever.
My deepest condolences to the Acres family on the way too soon passing of this lovely man.

Harold and his family have been apart of ours since 1966 when his son Jeff was born and my brother Richard where born at the same hospital. Diane and my mom (Marie) became friends and remain friends for many years. When Diane passed away, my mom and Harold became more then friends, and married soon after. they where married for over 13 years. During their time together they enjoyed going to the trailer, fishing, flea markets and getting into Harolds old car and going for a drive to no where, stopping at little creeks on the way to throw in a line. he will be greatly missed by his other family. Marie Acres, Linda and Phillip McCormack, Richard Cassin, Micheal Cassin, Travis and Steph Cassin, Cody and Carrissa Cassin, and Kyshia and Jessica Cassin.....my first post was delete by the funeral home because Linda Acres didnt want it up, everyone has the right to pay their respects, and this is mine and my family's right to do so. thank you

It is with a heavy heart I read your beautiful tribute to Harold. My first job was babysitting for Harold and Diane. In my teen years the Acres home became my safe place to go! I learn to dance (Harold had some funky moves) when you didn’t know what else to do and that a good campfire surround by friends was the best medicine. All the worlds problems could be fixed with a cup of tea!
Rest easy my friend. I’m sure you and your dad are enjoying a good fishing story. To his family may your memories provide you with a smile because that is what Harold would want!

We were so sorry to hear of Harold's passing. The first time I met Harold was in1960 when he and his dad came into the greenhouses on 3rd Street,London for his 1st job. We were good friends for 62 years, and had many occasions fixing and painting our old cars.
I drove Harold home with his first child from the hospital. So shocked to hear of Jeff's passing.
We visited with Harold and Marie a few times at the trailer. He introduced me to my future wife over 52 years ago. In those younger years we did many things for which I am forever grateful. R.I.P. Harold.

Harold was one of my neighbours. I would go sit out in the backyard feed and watch the chipmunks and birds with him and Marie. I would take photos of the many beautiful flowers they had in their gardens. We had some great conversations while visiting. I have attached one of the photos I captured of a cardinal that came by while we sat outside. Harold actually bought some of these photos of this cardinal. Sad to hear Harold passed away. R.I.P. Harold.
