Obituary of Leaon Robinson

Leaon (Caldwell) Robinson, 91, of St Marys, died peacefully surrounded by her family at St Marys Memorial Hospital on May 12, 2022,

Beloved wife of the late Ed Robinson (2012). Dear mother of David Robinson and Tammy Patterson, Mark and Joan Robinson, Lynn and Leo Marentette, and Ann Robinson and Doug Schmidt. Loving grandmother and great grandmother of Laura, Tim and Amanda (Leah, James and Jack); Erin and Rob (Grant and Kate), Bradley and Shandelle; Jaclyn and Josh (Laekyn and Eden), Ben; and Taylor. Sister-in-law of Dave Robinson. She is fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents (Thomas) Ezra and Flora Caldwell.

Leaon was a teacher at West Ward School for a number of years. She enjoyed the opportunity to gather with family and friends at home or at the family cottage in Tobermory. Hosting her family and friends was important to her. Leaon loved to travel and see and experience new things. She was always interested in the activities of her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

The family is truly grateful for the exceptional care provided by Colleen Ruthig, Marlene Weston, Barb Pickel, Susan Christie and Susan Clarke from Betterways for Seniors and granddaughter Laura which allowed Mom to fulfill her wish to remain in her own home.

Special thanks for the care given by the doctors and nurses at St Marys Memorial Hospital and The Happy Valley Health Team.

Leaon’s wishes were that there be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place and a private burial will follow at a later date at Kirkton Union Cemetery.
