To Gwen, Jamie and Family
Even though the miles between us may be many, the fact that we are family keeps us close together. My thoughts are always there to support you. My favorite story about Uncle Aleck is he and my dad playing tag on the top of a farm silo when they were kids. I admit that I never had that fearlessness that both men had but I bet now they are looking down Together cheering you Gwen and myself to be the best we can be!
Every day was a lesson, and from what I heard and know about you Gwen, you chose to listen and that is the best gift from Uncle Aleck.

My deepest sympathy. Aleck was a true friend from the North. I met him at Portland approx 30 years ago. We talked John Deere and family many hours. He always had to ask how my boys were doing before we could discuss even the weather. We looked out for each other and had to share our latest treasure. I’m sure that Saint Peter is now driving a JD to mow the yard.

Dear June , Gwen and Jamie and family. I was so very saddened to read of Aleck’s passing. Sometimes when you meet someone in your life , you just click. Aleck and I clicked. I really began to know him at the many auction sales that we would meet up at together. We shared our life stories through happy times and not so happy times over the years. I could always be certain though that I would be greeted with his famous smile and courteous greeting. He would always ask me how my family was doing and especially my youngest son as they worked together at Fawcetts. He never forgot a detail of any news I shared with him. His knowledge of antiques and anything John Deere always amazed me. Our good friend Hugh Filson once said to me ….If you are not sure what that antique item is ask Aleck ….he will have the answer. Which he always did. Rest In Peace my friend. Hugs to the family at this very sad time
