Obituary of Mavis Ann Knapman
Mavis Ann Knapman (Griffiths) passed away suddenly at her home in St. Marys on September 1, 2018 at the age of 83.Beloved wife of the late William Henry Knapman (2003). Mother of Brian (Charlene), Kim Cornwall (Bill), Glyn (Donna), and David. Grandmother of Lacey Rouse (Joel), Kyle Knapman (Sarah), Jordan Cornwall (Megan), Adam Cornwall (Katie), Taylor Cornwall, Melanie Simpson-Knapman, Connor Knapman (Kate), James Knapman (Brit), Jacob Knapman, Jayme Wilton, and Taylor Wilton. Great-grandmother of Freya, Viktor, and Donovan. Survived by her sister Hazel (Syd), David and predeceased by her brother Ivor. Mavis will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews in Canada and abroad. Her family would also like to acknowledge the Coulter family for enriching her life.Mavis will be remembered for her love of nature and her involvement with the Tea Time Quilters.Cremation to take place. Visitation at the Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home, 47 Wellington St. S. St. Marys (519-284-2820) on Tuesday, Sept. 4, from 7 – 9 p.m. The Memorial Service will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Byron Hand officiating. Reception to follow in the Community Hall of the St. Marys Pyramid Recreation Centre. Interment following in Granton Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to the St. Marys Friendship Centre (cheques made out to the Town of St. Marys).
