Obituary of Muriel Sara Berry
Muriel Sara Berry (nee Playford), of St. Marys, passed away on April 3, 2020, at Wildwood Care Centre, in her 90th year.Predeceased by her husband, Grant Berry (2009), son, Duane Berry (2003), son-in-law, Brian Stacey (2006). Loving mother of Leslee Stacey and Kim (John) Munro of St. Marys, and Campbell (Danielle) Berry of Calgary; cherished Grandmother of Amanda, Sara (Ben), Matt (Sadie), Scott, Kate, Emma and Kent; dear Great Grandmother of Briana, Hunter, Ella and Grayson. Muriel is survived by her siblings, Norma Sneyd of Fredericton, Dorothy Wilson of Haliburton and Bill Playford of Elora.Muriel and Grant married in 1951 and spent the first several years of their marriage living in a number of towns throughout Ontario as Grant worked for the bank and was transferred every few years. In 1978, they moved to St. Marys and were happy to call St. Marys home for the next 42 years. Muriel made friends wherever she landed and was an avid sewer, quilter and bridge player. Friends often comment about Muriel’s good-heartedness, willingness to “tell it like it is” and enjoyment of a good joke/laugh. Muriel loved well and was well loved and will be sorely missed.Special thanks to the staff at Wildwood Care Centre and Dr. T.
