Obituary of Marie Thompson

Marie Thompson, formerly of St. Marys, passed away at Aspen Lake Nursing Home in Windsor on Oct. 28, 2016 at the age of 79.Beloved mother of Sue Winter and husband Kris of Windsor. Grandmother of Erik Winter (Breanne), and Emilee Winter (TJ). Great-grandmother of the “Little One” Morgan Winter. Sister of Georgina Bickell and husband Larry and survived by nieces and nephews; Sherry, Shelly, Aaron, Tina, and Jonathan.Predeceased sister Grace Elgie, brother Pete Mills and wife Beth, and parents George and Christina. Past employee of Thames Valley Children’s Centre in London, dedicated volunteer and later resident of Kingsway Lodge, St. Marys.Cremation has taken place with a private family burial at Lakeside Cemetery on the Hill. An open house Celebration of Marie’s life will be held at the Wildstone Restaurant at the Stonewillow Inn, 940 Queen St. East, St. Marys, on Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 12:30 – 3 p.m.Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
