Obituary of Bob Bendall

Bob Bendall passed away at St. Marys Memorial Hospital on Monday, September 18, 2017 in his 81st year.Bob was a 34 year employee of St. Marys Cement Company and served as a volunteer fire fighter for many years. He enjoyed 24 years of retirement playing golf, gardening, camping with grandchildren and loved dancing to old country music. Married to his beloved wife Betty for 59 years. Survived by 3 sons, Douglas (Sharon) their children Erika (Cody), Alison and Ian. Steven (Jacqueline) their children Faith and Katie. Brian and his children Brooke and Ty. One daughter Nancy Miller (Richard) their children A.J. (Candace, Staci (Colton). One sister Norma Hansen (Paul), sisters-in-law Helen Bendall, Marj Vanstone (Don), Isabel Quinton, Vivian Williams, and numerous nieces and nephews.Predeceased by parents Jim and Marion, brother Jim, sister Eva and Ron Shamblaw and Marion Bendall.Visitation at the Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home, 47 Wellington St. S. St. Marys (519-284-2820) on Thursday, Sept 21, from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. The Memorial Service will be conducted at ST. JAMES ANGLICAN CHURCH, 65 Church St. S., St. Marys, on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017 at 11 a.m.Reception to follow at the St. Marys Legion, 66 Church St. N., St. Marys. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Marys Memorial Hospital Foundation, St. James Anglican Church or charity of choice.
