I send my deepest condolences to Bruce and the Taylor family. Barb was one of the first people I knew when I moved to St. Marys in 2003. I was lucky enough to work with her at the Library in 2004 for the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Carnegie Library. Barb was always a delight to chat with whenever I saw her and I had the pleasure of hearing all about her wonderful family especially the grandchildren. She had a huge heart and will be missed by so many.

I was fortunate to work at the library when Barb was chief librarian. As a shy high school student, I appreciated her encouragement and her friendly personality. She took the library staff out for dinner once a year, and it was my first time experiencing fine dining. We even sat across from Timothy Findley at Pazzo’s! My thoughts are with her family.

Bruce and Family, so sorry to hear of Barb's passing. I enjoyed working with her on the library board, and later sought out her advice and counsel many times in my role with the Town. She ALWAYS spoke of what her family was doing, and showed great enthusiasm in telling stories of the adventures of her grandchildren. A very successful and distinguished woman, she was a great role model and contributor to her community. She will be greatly missed. She leaves a great legacy. Al Strathdee
