Obituary of Orval Gene Glenn Sleeper

Orval Gene Glenn Sleeper, of London, passed away suddenly at Victoria Hospital, London, on March 24, 2020, at the age of 79, after a short, but very courageous battle with cancer.Beloved husband of the late Judith (Judy) Margaret Rose (Taylor) Sleeper (2018). Orval will be sorely missed and is survived by his children Todd Sleeper (Deanne Ellis) of St. Marys, Wendy Lucas (Rick) of Peterborough, Jodi Thibodeau (Wayne) of London, Lee Watson of Wellburn and Sue Coveny (Pat) of St. Marys. He will be also missed by 17 grandchildren: Brittany, Nicole, Nicole, Tyler, Hope, Nathan, Ryan, Jamie, Kayla, Emma, Cassandra, Ashley, Kaitlyn, Jake, Liam, Rebecca, Cody, 6 great-grandchildren: Logan, Rowan, Brynlee, Ella, Bridget, Colton and siblings Darryl Ugene Sleeper (Violet) and Beverly Sherron Muriel Crouse (Frederick Philip).Predeceased by his parents Amos Glenn Dwight Sleeper (1985) and Jeanette Muriel (Prentice, 1992), sister Earla Yvonne Trollope (2010), and brother Buddy Earl Sleeper (1990).Orval was a long-time member of the Plumbers & Pipefitters Union U.A. Local 593 and a farmer. He dearly loved his large family and was very proud them. He was also proud of the home he built near Prospect Hill in 1978. He was an avid news buff, enjoyed trading in the stocks and was very car savvy.Cremation to take place with a family graveside service in St. Marys Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
