Dear Linda, Cathy and John and families.......We were saddened to learn of your Dad's passing, as well as that of your Mom a short time ago. They were such welcoming neighbours when we moved to Riverview N.B. in 1966 with 4 young children. I believe our children are all close in age to the 3 of you. Your Mom especially was a great comfort and help to me and I remember so well her gentle smile and laugh, and her words of wisdom that I really appreciated hearing. Our children were between the ages of 1 and 6 ....as you probably were too, but your Mom and I somehow still found time to stop for a few minutes during the day to share a cup of tea. Husbands both were busy with work and especially that first summer we sat in the back yards while it seemed like a dozen children played around us. The mothers on our half of the street met once a month in each other's homes to socialize . It was a good time with many good memories. We didn't keep in touch as your family moved on to other areas, but I will always have such good memories of the first summer in Riverview. We know you will have many, many good memories too.
