Ronald Richardson posted a condolence
Dear Heather, John and Peter et al We were so sorry and sad to hear about the passing of Marg. We have been blessed to have had many years of shared family memories from toddlers until now for a few generations. You wrote a beautiful tribute to a beautiful lady who wore so many hats in life, with grace, humour and elegance, along her life journey. We miss her already too. I hope your fond memories give you some comfort. I was glad to chat on the phone with Heather last week. Sending hugs from Ron, Rob, Roz, Mark and Reen et al xoxo PS: We will send a donation to Scleroderma Assoc. as she would want to support such an important group. Love Reen

Lauren Francis posted a condolence
I'm so very sad to have just learned of the passing of one of the "great ladies" I've been blessed to have known in my lifetime. Living in Stratford, I seem to miss some of the events in St. Marys, and I'm so sorry to have not been in touch with the Crosthwaite Family much sooner than this. But losing Mrs. Crosthwaite goes far beyond just being an event. When I read of her passing just now, the thought occurred to me that we have just lost another of those great ladies who walked through life with such dignity, such style and such wisdom. Rick, John and I have been blessed to have known some of these amazing people from a generation who wrote the definition of the word "dignity". Mrs. Crosthwaite was wonderful and your whole family has been blessed to be able to call her your own. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Lauren Francis

Heather, John and Peter Our Broughton family spent the last 50 years as neighbours at the cottage in Norman Heights. Marg loved her days at the cottage and we shared many great memories as both our families grew over that long time. She was a classy lady to the very end with a great attitude on life and for sure she is in the first class section of where she has gone to. On behalf of all the Broughtons we extend our condolences. Dave & Ruth and all the Broughton family

Peter, Heather , John and Family, I would like to add my condolences in the passing of your mother, Marguerite. I did enjoy a wonderful visit with your Mom last year when I was canvassing for cancer. She shared her memories of Sparks Manor with me and gave me a lovely old photo of the Victorian sitting room where she had enjoyed spending time in her youth. We spent a beautiful afternoon sharing stories of our families. She was the proud keeper of much of St. Marys history and she will be missed both in your family and in her community. She leaves a legacy of graciousness, elegance and dignity which I am sure will continue into the next generation of the Crosthwaite family. With sincere sympathy, Jean Hutton

Don & Vi Proudlove The Crosthwaite Family: Please accept our deepest sympathy in the passing of Marguerite. It came as a surprise to read this on Facebook. I loved her. All the time I worked for her and Jack, I never knew her to say a cross word to anyone. We got along so well and I really admired they way she always looked and took care of herself. We never did get to do the things we promised each other we would. I will miss her in my heart. Thinking of all of you at this sad time.

Our condolences on the passing of your mom. While I never really knew your mom, I observed her from afar and my first thoughts were always what a beautiful and elegant lady. I could sense her kind heart but could also feel her powerful nature. Canada should be so proud to have a citizen so devoted to her country. My heart truly goes out to all of you.

Helen Flanagan posted a condolence
Dear Pete and family members. Your mom was a wonderful classy lady. Her style, posture and the way she spoke was a woman I admired. Every time I saw your mom I always said to myself "What A Beautiful Woman". The last time we saw your mom was at Tim Hortons. She took a moment to speak with my mom and to compliment me on a letter I had written. Your mom was always so impeccable, stylish and eloquent. Peter you were always at your moms. You and I would meet on our mowers many a time either going or coming from our mom's. When I was young and going to school I would use your parents one side of the house as a shortcut going home. That house on the hill has been the Crosthwaite house all my life. The Town of St. Marys has lost a truly stunning lady. She has been embraced into the arms of the man in heaven and I know she is now an angel who will be looking over each of you. Our sincere condolences. Helen and Mary Flanagan
