Obituary of George Petty Smith

At Jessica’s House, in Exeter, George “Bud” Petty Smith died on Friday, January 17, 2020.Born in Hensall Ontario on December 19, 1927. George was the only son of Dr. George and Mrs. Gladys (Petty) Smith. He resided all his life in St. Marys. Summers were shared with family and friends at his cottage south of Bayfield.George is survived by sisters Joan Lockwood Smith and Elizabeth Ann Fulmer. Niece Susan Empey (Peter) and sons Jeffrey, Ethan, Jay (Annlea). Nephew Peter Fulmer and daughters Jennifer (Andrew), Olivia, Taylor and nephew Paul Fulmer (Thom).Cremation has taken place. Honouring George’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment in Hensall Union Cemetery in the spring.Memorial donations may be made to Jessica’s House (70776 London Rd., Exeter, Ont. N0M 1S1.
