Obituary of Jack Prout

Jack Prout, passed away at Kingsway Lodge, St. Marys, on August 27, 2018 at the age of 90.Long-time employee of St. Marys Cement Co.Predeceased by his loving wife Gwen (nee Jobson) in 2013. Father of Bruce and his wife Deb of St. Joseph Island, Paul and his wife Mila of Cochrane, Michael and partner Leonardo of Vancouver, and predeceased by Bill (2013). Grandfather of Neil, Joel, Logan (Alice Czitrom), Devon, Kiera, and predeceased by Cayla. Also survived by his sister Helene Hodgins of Thornhill, brother-in-law Keith Jobson and his wife Florence of Victoria, B.C.Jack enjoyed golf at the St. Marys Golf & Country Club, wood-working, badminton, target pistol shooting and the billiards club over the course of his longtime residence in St. Marys.Family and Friends are invited to Holy Name of Mary Parish, Northeast corner of Peel St. N. and Widder St. E, St. Marys, on Friday, August 31, 2018 for visiting in the Parish Hall from 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. with Father Philip Joseph. Interment in St. Marys Cemetery.The Prout family wishes to extend their deepest appreciation to the entire staff of Fairhill and Kingsway Lodge and all of Jack's healthcare professionals in St. Marys and area for the support, attraction and fellowship extended to him over the past years.Memorial donations may be made to the Kingsway Life Care or the Canadian Mental Health Association of Perth.
