Obituary of John Oliver Hirasawa

John Oliver Hirasawa passed away peacefully at St. Marys Memorial Hospital on March 18, 2018 at the age of 91.Beloved husband of Sueko “Sue” Hirasawa. Father of Dawn Hirasawa (David Bambrick), Dean Hirasawa, Drake Hirasawa (Heather Meeks). Grandfather of Emma Bambrick, and Jordan Meeks-Hirasawa. Survived by one brother Goro (Grace) of Calgary. Predeceased by his father Takejiro, mother Yoshi and his siblings Takeo, Kanako, George, Mary, and Tolmie.John worked as a chick sexer, later as a salesman for Martin Feed Mills and was an avid New York Yankees fan.Visitation at the Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home, 47 Wellington St. S. St. Marys (519-284-2820) on Thursday, March 22, from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. Interment in St. Marys Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to the St. Marys Memorial Hospital Foundation.
