So many great memories of Clara from my formative younger years. Clara always welcomed me into the Manzini home, and the wonderful aromas of olive oil and garlic are forever etched in my mind! Piero and I called it “that Italian smell”. She made the best lasagna, with proper thin layered noodles, and her cooking started me on a lifetime of appreciation for great cuisine. Clara was the epitome of class. She will be forever missed.

It was such a pleasure to know Clara. She used to share such fond memories of her family like teaching Claude to dance so he could meet his dream girl. Her love for music stayed as she would even tap her toes when dancing was not possible anymore. I'm sure she is dancing now and is at peace. My condolences to her family she will be missed

Our family is sending sincere condolences to you all. Clara and Gino were our neighbors for 48 years. We all enjoyed Clara and Ginos cooking. The best . Clara and Elda were at Rob and Carries wedding and danced the night away. Clara loved to dress up and have her hair done perfectly. She was beautiful. I promised her many years ago that I would always care for her hair and I did that last Friday for the last time. Laila and her friend came from Woodstock for a visit and she smiled and we had a great visit that day. We even got some lovely pictures that I will always cherish. We will miss her but we have let her go fly with the angels and look down on us. No more pain and suffering Clara. Your family and care givers made it possible for you to stay at home. We will miss you dearly. Love Mike Cathy Suzanne and Rob Elliott and family. Hugs.

Clara was a wonderful neighbour for many years as our families lived side by side on Wellington St. I loved listening to her sing as she did her outside work. The days she shared some of the food dishes she prepared were extra special.

We often think of Zia's 90th birthday party with Clara singing every song played in her native Italian. Her face was so animated, enjoying the songs she loved. Zia cherished her entire family. Hugs and love to you all, Laila & Arnie, Piero & Maria. xo xo Sue & Joe

To experience the best pizza on this planet one does not have to get on a plane to Rome or Jim’s in Trenton but head to Wellington Street in St. Marys, to the Manzini home, where Clara would welcome you with not only the best in ‘white’ pizza and ‘red’ (white my favourite) but the best in home Italian cooking matched by no restaurant here or back there in Porto San Giorgio. I would be remiss to mention Gino’s testy, not tasty, home-made wine, always with a story, more than complemented by a Clara meal. A magnificent lady, a classy person ... missed by all.
