Obituary of Margaret Spence

Margaret Spence (Hern) passed away at Wildwood Care Centre, St. Marys, on May 10, 2017 at the age of 97.Beloved wife of the late Malcolm Spence (1996). Mother of Elaine Henry, and Gene Spence and wife Gay. Grandmother of Kara Plotz and husband Alan of Charlotte, NC, Adam Spence and Sharlene Cammack of Fort Nelson, BC, Tim Goulden, and Mike Goulden and wife Tammy, all of London. Great-grandmother of Darren and Miles. Predeceased by her brother Gerald Hern (1987) and wife Dorothy (2003), and son-in-law Gary Goulden (1995).Visitation at the Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home, 47 Wellington St. S. St. Marys (519-284-2820) on Thursday, May 11, from 7 – 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, May 12, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Paul Vollick officiating. Cremation to follow with interment in Granton Cemetery at a later date.Reception following the funeral service in the Community Hall of the St. Marys Pyramid & Recreation Centre, 317 James St. South, St. Marys.Memorial donations made be made to the Granton Cemetery, Villages United Church or charity of choice.
