Obituary of Marjorie Ann Shaw

Marjorie Ann Shaw (Hendrick). Born July 9, 1945 in Zurich, Ontario, passed away on Saturday February 6, 2021.It is with heavy hearts and loving memories that we announce the passing of Marj Shaw after a very brief but courageous battle. Marj passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the age of 75.Marj will be remembered for her loving and generous heart, caring nature and great cooking.Survived by her husband of almost 55 years, John Shaw, daughters Barb and Sandy. She was the best grandma to Lauren, Brayden and Dani.Sister to Bob Hendrick and wife Linda. Sister-in-law to Wayne Shaw and wife Iola, Aleda Cluff and Kenlynn Bell. Loved by many nieces and nephews.Predeceased by her parents Pearl (Weigand) and Laird Hendrick, and parents-in-law Marion (Gibson) and Hurley Shaw, Glenn Shaw and wife Bernice, Sib Shaw and wife Laura, Gerry Chapman and wife Dianne, brother-in-law Bob Bell, nephew Richard Shaw and son-in-law Derrick Ellis.A special thank you to the doctors and nursing staff at the Stratford General Hospital, kind neighbours and friends.In accordance to Marj’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held. A celebration of Marj’s life will take place at a later date.If desired, a memorial donation may be made to the St. Marys United Church.
