Obituary of Kathleen “Kay” Margaret Conn

Kathleen “Kay” Margaret Conn (Smith), passed away at Wildwood Care Centre, St. Marys on August 8, 2019 in her 92nd year.Predeceased by her husband Daniel Conn (1993). Mother of Patsy Switzer (Gordon), Donna Tinney (Ronald), Nancy Armstrong (Karl) and Tom (Judy). Grandmother of Pamela (James), Gayle, Carey, Chris (Amanda), Kurtis, Kyle (deceased), Kaitlyn (Ryan), Kristyn, Stephanie (Justin) and Patrick and also survived by 10 ½ great-grandchildren. Sister of Verna and sister-in-law of Lois and Norma.Predeceased by her parents Everitt Smith and Margaret McNair and siblings Gordon, Glen, Lorne, Harold, Robert, and Arnold.Kay enjoyed knitting, crochet, quilting and a good card game, was a life-long member of Browns Women’s Institute, St. Marys Hospital Auxiliary, was an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan and collector of Teddy Bears.Visitation at the Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home, 47 Wellington St. S. St. Marys (519-284-2820) on Monday, Aug. 12, from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. and again on Tuesday, Aug. 13, from 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Janet Uren officiating. Interment in St. Marys Cemetery. Reception to follow at Browns School House.Memorial donations may be made to the St. Marys Hospital Auxiliary or the Golden Years Foundation at Wildwood Care Centre.
