Obituary of Jim Hunter

Jim “Tabby” Hunter, of St. Marys and formerly of Dorchester, passed away at Stratford General Hospital on September 20, 2017 at the age of 73.Father of Deb (Sonny), Dan, Diana (Morten Byskov) and Donald (Jen). Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, 7 siblings and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother George, brother-in-law Frank, daughter in infancy Laurie, and parents Maurice and Mabel. Jim was a 35-year employee at Hutton Transport.His family would like to thank the staff at the St. Marys Memorial Hospital Emergency Room, 2nd and 3rd floor staff at Stratford General Hospital and staff at Kingsway Lodge in St. Marys.Visitation at the Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home, 47 Wellington St. South, St. Marys (519-284-2820) on Monday, Sept. 25, from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment in Dorchester Union Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to the Diabetes Association or CNIB.
