Obituary of Robert Alexander Taylor

Robert Alexander Taylor, son of the late Larry and Sharron Taylor and brother to Janine Taylor of Mississauga and Barb and brother-in-law Mike Morning of St Marys passed away suddenly on April 29, 2021 at the age of 48.Rob faced his long battle with Schizophrenia with so much fortitude, strength and resolve. Many will remember the Rob that was funny, someone who alongside his high-school friends, often got up to the best kind of trouble. He found love and married in his younger days and after the end of his marriage he returned to his hometown of St. Marys to be closer to family. His nieces and nephews, Brock, Kyle, Ally and Megan fondly remember their Uncle Rob’s rides to school or hockey. His gift cards every holiday and his kind warm nature. Later in life he was an incredible support to his Mom Sharron, after his father passed, selflessly assisting her in so many ways each day. Although his illness dictated the many ways he chose or was forced to live his life it certainly did not define him. Many will have fond memories of his smile and laugh, and love of family. He will be terribly missed but those who knew him will find solace in the fact that he is no longer in pain and surely at peace.Robert will be cremated, and his life will be celebrated with family at a later date.The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider donating to their local mental health community program or facility in Robert’s name.
