Obituary of P. Russell Phillips

P. Russell Phillips, of St. Marys, formerly of London, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, August 08, 2018, at the age of 62.Russ was loved and adored by many and he will be greatly missed. He is survived by his daughter (and her husband), his son (and his fiancée), two granddaughters, his Mom (predeceased by his father), his sister (and her husband) plus his niece, nephews, cousins and their families along with many friends.Born September 04, 1955, Russ remained a kid at heart. He could make a friend wherever he went. His laugh and smile would light up a room. Russ worked retail for his entire career. He was an avid sports fan and most recently a volunteer with the St. Marys Lincolns Hockey Team.Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received on Friday, August 24th from 7-9 p.m. at the Andrew L Hodges Funeral Home, 47 Wellington St S, St. Marys, ON (519-284-2820). The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 25th at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel of the Ascension, Woodland Cemetery, 493 Springbank Dr, London, ON (519-471-7450) with interment immediately following.In lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Russ to the St. Marys Lincolns Hockey Team or the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.
