My condolences to the Perry family on the passing of your father. I was a classmate of Ian (& Pat) at Acadia, and even worked for Gulf Minerals in 1980 (although I did not meet Fred while in Toronto).

So very sorry to hear about your fathers passing. I have to agree with Jim, you couldn't have picked a better picture. I truly only remember your Dad with that smile, and more importantly I can't think of your Dad without thinking of your Mom. They were the best!!! I feel blessed to have had them in my life not only growing up but also when I started my own family on Maplewood. Wonderful memories with wonderful neighbors and friends. Jeff, Ian and Jason, and to your families, your are in our thoughts and prayers.

What a perfect picture to honour his memory - exactly as he should be remembered! The Perry-D'Orazio bond has always been a cherished, special bond that began 53 years ago when I was 2 years old. So many memories, some of my happiest that included Fred. Early morning drives to hockey practice and hockey games and the advice given on those rides. Christmas carols by the organ. Lots of shared meals. Many birthdays celebrated (Jason and Fred shared the same birth date) culminating many times with chocolate cake that Fred looked forward to as much as us kids...although he had his piece with a "bit" of butter. Rolling around on the family room floor with Spike, Spike growling while both of them loving the ritual the whole time - I loved watching that! Although there are many more memories, truly, maybe the best is if I close my eyes and imagine him, exactly like he is in the picture above, I can hear that genuine, heartfelt, fully committed laugh...I will never forget it and I will never forget the wonderful man that he was. RIP Fred and know you were loved. Jason, Ian and Jeff, I send all of our family's love to you and yours with our deepest condolences. Jim

My sincerest condolences. Uncle Fred always had a wonderful smile, laugh, and incredible intelligence. His warm nature (and of course his puzzles) he brought to many happy Perry family gatherings will always be a special memory. I have continued this same tradition with my own family since. He will be missed. Shelley Doble (nee Kitching), and family

I am so sorry to hear the passing of your wonderful father, and our Uncle Fred. I can still hear his laughter. He always showed such incredible kindness. I will always remember all those puzzlers he and his brothers would bring to Boxing Day gatherings. Jennifer Dizon (nee Kitching)

To the family of Fred Perry; Conveying sincere condolences to the extended family of Fred. In the years that Fred resided in St. Marys, I had the job of being his barber. Many interesting conversations with this gentleman over the duration of the time I knew him. He will be missed! . . . . "RIP - Fred"
